This is a short video clip of me playing Defender on the Atari 2600 VCS retro video games console.

Developed by Bob Polaro and released by Atari in 1981.
Save the humanoids while killing the aliens in a fast and often tricky sideways free scrolling shootemup.
The controls are as limited as the graphics and sound, in what despite being a very poor conversion of the arcade classic, is a very enjoyable game.

This and the other retro gaming clips on this site aren't intended as full game reviews, but are simply to give viewers who weren't around when these games were popular, an idea of what video games used to be like.
