This is a short video clip of me playing Mouse Trap on the Colecovision retro video games console.
Released by Exidy in 1981 and published by Coleco.
Mouse Trap is something of a Pac-Man clone, but with an added element of strategy.
Something I was obviously unaware of while recording this clip was the use of a coloured keypad overlay card, wherebye pressing the appropriately coloured button on the pad opens the relevant door in the maze.
There is also, aparrently, a "dog bone" button feature, though quite what this does I don't know, as I didn't come across it while playing. I'll have to check that out at a later date.
This and the other retro gaming clips on this site aren't intended as full game reviews, but are simply to give viewers who weren't around when these games were popular, an idea of what video games used to be like.
